We want to take a moment and say Thank You to all our foster homes.  We have already placed 38 Greyhounds this year.  Since all our available greyhounds are kept in foster homes, we can always use new foster homes.  Many more Greyhounds are waiting in kennels and on farms and we have no place to put them.

If you have room in your home for an ex-racing Greyhound, on a temporary basis, and would like to experience the joys of being a foster parent, please  contact us.

 

Jiminy

 

  

 

Jiminy, a big, playful, 80 pound 4 year old boy still thinks he’s a puppy.  Walks nicely, after he understands who is in charge.  Jiminy has mellowed nicely in foster care.  He is very loving and will cuddle on the couch and just learned that smiling helps get more loves.  Jiminy is learning how to deal with other dogs and cats.  In time he will be able to tolerate smaller dogs and, with luck, cats.  Although Jiminy is very gentle, he is a big, strong boy therefore children under 6 are not recommended, unless the children are well supervised.

Busted

 

        

 

 

Busted, a very playful and active 4 year old, is ready for a new home.  He is not too good with cats, but medium or large dogs would make great play buddies.  Busted is very people friendly and has gotten over his jumping up habit.  Children under 6 may be a bit small for Busted’s activity level.  He has a great tail and carries it well.

Stetson

 

     

 

Stetson, a great 4 year old, walks great but can be a bit shy in new situations.  He can live with small animals and calm, confident cats, and has been accepted by his very bossy foster home Greyhound.  Stetson can be left alone for a few hours, once he learns that his people will return, perhaps with goodies.  Stetson could make someone a great first Greyhound.

Stella

aka Move Over

 

    

 

Stella, a 4 year old, Black girl who is bit shy when first meeting folks and in new places.  She is good with small animals and cats.  She is being introduced to the world of small children, but at this time, children under 10 may cause her some problems.  Move Over becomes attached to her people rather quickly, but may not do well if left alone so a canine buddy is recommended at this time.  Stella and Velvet are littermate sisters, and make quite a pair.  Please give her a good look and you may fall in love.

Petros

 

    

 

Petros is very curious of new things.  Loves to return affection, a bit of a cuddle bug.  This 5 ˝ year old, 80 pound brindle boy walks very nicely and has no problems with children.  Petros is not cat friendly but will accept well controlled small dogs.  His foster home will try to get some better pictures as time goes by, so check back often for updates.

Slingshot Tilly

 

    

 

Tilly has 168 registered races. She is called "Silly Tilly" at her farm! She is very friendly and outgoing and cat safe. Offspring of Oshkosh Slammer and Geneva Reward.

6 years old – raced at 61 lbs – won 16 races – raced at Palm Beach, Florida

Magic has 112 registered races and is ready to be a pet. He is cat safe. Offspring of Kiowa Sweet Trey and Midnight Angel.

Senior Ladies Looking for Love!
